I begin my personal holiday season (October) in July. This is the month when I begin costume design because for the right costume, it can take some piecing together and collecting. I don't purchase ready-made ones. No, I invent mine! This year, I'm putting together a pure white Steampunk Victorian era costume with steampunk jewelry spray painted white. I'm going to do a ghostly white face and the only thing of color on me will be my vibrant long curly hair. A steampunk ghost. I have the white lace fingerless gloves, white hose and shoes, and I bought the hat above to wear it with it. Now, I just need an event!

I get into the horror mood because summer here in the Southwest in July and August is miserable. So, I retreat indoors to write horror and watch horror movies. While I write horror, I listen to Nox Arcana to get in the creepy mood and I darken the apartment. I am officially hyped for October!

Come September, I've not only hit "Spirit Halloween" store a bunch of times (to the point of being a stalker), but I have written and put in the queue lots of posts so I can enjoy the month out and about doing as much as possible. I've refined my costume, I've set my reservations, and I'm all ready for October to just freaking happen! The very last day of September is the online virtual blogger zombie walk event and then October is finally here!

This October expect plenty of interesting posts on all subjects creepy, plenty of Dale the Doll's possessed antics during the month (I will replay the background on why Dale is possessed on October first). Be careful, as he tends to find blogs he likes and becomes obsessed. If you see him following your blog, try not to show fear. He can smell it when he stalks your blog, I mean, comments on your blog. I also have plenty of weird events planned for that month that will involve videos, vlogs, photos and crazy tales. I know I usually do some horror fiction flash stories and I will probably do that too.

Do you have plans for October yet? On my goal sheet is: Zombie walk, costume party, corn maze at night at the country farm October festival, staying in a haunted house, UFO hunt, themed movie marathon such as "Halloween" movies marathon, Zombie movie marathon, 1950s SciFi movie marathon, Haunted House movie marathon....

So, it's only 3 months, but it goes very quickly!
