In Arizona's southwest setting, the infamous "Jackolope" has been spoken of for decades. This delightful creature is a giant jackrabbit with antlers. They aren't real, of course, but they created a wonderful legend.
So, our Aussie friends down south also have their own little mischief maker - the Drop Bear.
This fictitious marsupial is described as vicious, bloodthirsty, and related to the Koala. The tales get bigger and bigger (as do the tourists' eyes) and it is a playful game of who can survive the forest for the dangerous drop bears! Look up! Stay alive!
